Hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin appears as a white powder with good solubility in water and a certain degree of relative hygroscopicity. The introduction of hydroxypropyl overcomes the limitations of maintaining the cyclodextrin cavity β- The main drawback of poor water solubility of cyclodextrin.
