Product Description

Inulin is a reserve polysaccharide in plants, which mainly comes from plants. It is contained in the protoplasm of cells in colloidal form. Unlike starch, it is easily soluble in hot water. When ethanol is added, it is separated from water and does not react with iodine. Moreover, inulin is easily hydrolyzed to fructose in dilute acid, which is the characteristic of all fructans. It can also be hydrolyzed to fructose by inulase. Both humans and animals lack enzymes that can decompose inulin.
