Product Description

Linagliptin, a new generation of DPP-4 inhibitors (DPP) - 4 inhibitors), is a drug for diabetes. It is used to improve the control of blood sugar level in patients with type 2 diabetes by combining diet and exercise. "Lilalitine" is currently the only oral antidiabetic drug for DPP-4 inhibitor that is not mainly excreted through the kidney.

 

 

Application

Liggliptin was generated from the optimization of DPP-4 inhibitors based on xanthine, and the initial leader was determined from HTS activities. After optimizing the activity of initial micromolar lead, two problems need to be solved are the activity of hERG and muscarinic receptor M1.

Liggliptin is an oral and highly selective dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor, which is the first drug of this class to be eliminated mainly through non-aldehyde pathway. Liggliptin is suitable for the treatment of adult type 2 diabetes.

Linagliptin (trade names Tradjenta and Trajetna) is an inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) that was approved by the U.S. FDA in May 2011 for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes along with diet and exercise. Linagliptin (BI-1356) has been described as a potent highly selective, slow-off rate and long acting inhibitor of DPP-4.
